T.R.A.M.P CHAMP SERIES

“BRIDGING THE GAP FOR THE FUTURE OF ACROBATIC SPORTS”

The Freestyle Trampoline Association has partnered with GRT and a host of trampoline parks around the world to bring the T.R.A.M.P CHAMP Series to the massive amount of #gtramp flippers who enjoy competitions.

The main focus of this Series is to offer a few select “golden tickets” for young athletes to attend the GTGamesUS, GTGamesEU or GTGamesANZ awarded to the winner of each event. Crowned the ‘TRAMP CHAMP’ we award them an automatic entry to the GTGames, the pinnacle competition event of the freestyle community.  Therefore, we only have locations targeted for the Series in each region Europe, US and Australasia. These Games are the pinnacle of flipping competitions worldwide and the trampoline parks are the perfect feeder system to what is considered the best of the best showcase. These events are part of the Freestyle Trampoline Association, in partnership with GRT Network Inc.

While we organize and promote fun competitions for the Freestyle community we are also trying to encourage safer practices and awareness for safety for the young athletes who often flip unattended in their backyards. This is a feeder system for younger athletes who wish to start their competitive career in a fun and casual way.  There are three categoreis, based on skill level; Beginner, Junior & Senior. Each category will have a limitation on how many rotations will be allowed.

GAME of T.R.A.M.P

  • Athletes will be put into groups of 4 - 6 and assigned to a trampoline with a judge.

  • A set time limit will be enforced to keep on schedule. To be determined at the event.

  • Athletes try to one-up each other in a friendly game of “who can match the trick.” Each time an athlete is unable to land the skill they receive a letter.

  • Athletes must call ‘landed’ or ‘not landed’ prior to the new set skill and as well as positions, number of bounces allowed etc. Skills deemed not landed means the athlete can land on their knees or back/rear-end. Hands touching the trampoline DO NOT count as landed.

  • Each athlete will take a turn to set the next round to ensure all athletes have a chance to set. The judge at your trampoline will keep everyone on track as well as record letters of all athletes.

  • Combinations of no more than 4 skills will be allowed unless agreed upon by entire group on that trampoline.

  • Athletes must call ‘landed’ or ‘not landed’ prior to the new set skill and as well as positions, number of bounces allowed etc.

  • Skills deemed not landed means the athlete can land on their knees or back/rear-end but hands touching the trampoline DO NOT count as landed. Judges will be assigned to a trampoline to keep the Game on schedule and record completed skills or assign letters. Judges have the final say if the

  • Double Bouncing will NOT be allowed.

  • Athletes who have the least number of letters when the time is up will be declared the winner by the judge assigned to their trampoline.

  • The last athlete remaining from each trampoline who has accumulated the least amount of letters moves onto the Finals and competes for a top 3 finish in Junior or Senior.

GTGames COMPETITION RULES

THE GTGames is a 3 event global garden trampoline series started in 2017 by GRT to showcase the best #gtramp athletes in each continent; North America, Europe and Australasia. Each year, the FTA looks at online Instagram submissions using the GTGames hashtag to choose the best 50 athletes.

The following is a breakdown of the “competition” system of the GTGames presented by GRT. It is important to emphasize that the GTGames are not focused on analytical judging, but more as an overall impression, based on:

  1. Difficulty - How many flips and twists the athlete accomplishes.

  2. Execution - The level of accuracy and precision the athlete is able to maintain during the skills. Is it safe and controlled?

  3. Creativity - How unique are the athletes tricks compared to other athletes? Includes unique positions in the air and unique combinations.

It is important to note that this year the GTGames will be based on creating more publicity around the event and increasing the safety awareness level. We have carefully chosen a wide range of athletes from the hashtag submissions to compete in both junior and senior age groups.

Juniors will be from ages 11 to 14 and Seniors are 15 +

We are creating a new awareness for the G-Tramp community, not the actual determination of specific skill levels and quantifiable results comparing athletes. As the awareness grows different categories, styles of competition and opportunities will become available. Athletes must be invited by a panel of judges after submitting a video compilation of their best skills, showing safe landings, creativity and good skill development; using the hashtag #GTGamesUS202_, #GTGamesEU202_ or #GTGamesANZ202_ (the year of event in the hashtag).

SUBMISSION RULES:

  • Entries must use the hashtag #GTGamesEU2023 and post a video on Instagram

  • Entries must tag @BERGtoys and the FTA

  • Athletes must show both forward and backward rotations, flipping and twisting, stomach, feet, back landings

  • Athletes must exhibit good control in their movements

  • Athletes must demonstrate clean landings - no necking

  • Submissions are due May 30th, only 50 will be invited to compete

  • Athletes must be 11 - 14 years of age for the junior category and 15 - 21 for seniors on the date of the event.

  • TRAMP Champ winners receive an automatic entry to GTGamesEU, but this does not include travel or the cost of their ticket, which includes shared accommodations for 2 nights, 5 meals and a 3-day water park pass to Area 47.

Athletes should be supportive of each other no matter what the competition outcome is. Although there is always a bit of controversy as to judging and scoring subjective movements, our judges have taken an oath to use their best discretion in an open and fair system and their acrobatic background to judge based on overall creativity, control/execution and degree of difficulty. This is why we have chosen judges within the freestyle and traditional communities that are well known for their integrity and knowledge.

Acrobatic skills that seem dangerous or inconsistent and not ready for competition will not be allowed.

All athletes are encouraged to only showcase skills they are confident in and ask for help if need be. With many years of experience in the sport of trampoline, gymnastics,  tricking and tumbling, our judges understand what is a true demonstration of skill and what is simply “chucking it.” Judges have the right to stop athletes from performing skills that are dangerous. At first the athlete will be asked nicely to pick another skill, or do a few more preparations if any of the judges deem any athletes to be jumping dangerously. If the athlete gives undue attitude, disrespect or blatantly ignores the judge or organizer, they may be removed from the field for the entire event. This is a promotional event to inspire G-Tramp Athletes to take training seriously and to inspire education and safety for the community as a whole. Any dangerous bouncing will not be permitted.

2-Trick FREESTYLE Combo Spectacular

  • Athletes demonstrate their best 2 - 4 skill combinations for the judges;

  • Athletes have to show their style, creativity and difficulty. Each component will be scored out of 10 for a total of 30. Each judge is scoring the overall impression of Difficulty, Execution and Creativity. All aspects are weighted equally. Athletes who only focus on one aspect will receive lower scores overall. Think of it as a Penalty for only demonstrating one aspect;

  • Greg Roe, the Event Host, has the option to give an additional 1.0 bonus score to any athlete given the case that the scores are tied or too close to call, based on showmanship and personality and crowd engagement demonstrated throughout the performance;

  • Athletes will be allowed to choose to nominate one (1) person to double bounce them;

  • A second ‘spotter’ will be on the trampoline to throw a mat if judges deem necessary;

  • Athletes can have two attempts to land their combo;

  • Tricks that are deemed dangerous by the judges or GRT will not be allowed and athletes will be requested to change their trick or be eliminated;

  • The top ten (10) contestants for junior and senior will move onto the Finals and compete for a top 3 finish.

Freestyle Frenzy

SUPERTRAMP BATTLE SERIES

The following is a breakdown of the “competition” system of the Freestyle Frenzy Series  presented by GRT.

It is important to note that the Freestyle Frenzy Championships at the end of the Series will be based on creating more publicity around the event and increasing the safety awareness level.  The top 4 athletes, along with our 2 Wildcard pics from our three qualifying events  are invited  to compete the world’s first Supertramp Battle Championships in October 2020.

Athletes must submit a video with the hashtag #FreestyleFrenzy2020 (name of location they wish to attend in the post as well)  ie.  #FreestyleFrenzySlovenia) in order to be eligible to compete.  The judges will select 16 athletes for each qualifying event from the submissions. Athletes must be at least 16 years of age to compete, unless the judges deem their skills to be outstanding and of a high degree, then they will be invited to attend.

We are creating a new awareness for the Freestyle community, not the actual determination of specific skill levels and quantifiable results comparing athletes. GRT and the FTA wish to see the level of attention an event like this can produce.

Athletes should be supportive of each other no matter the competition outcome is. Although there is always a bit of controversy to judging and scoring subjective movements, our judges have taken an oath to use their best discretion in an open and fair system and their acrobatic background to judge based on overall creativity, control and degree of difficulty. This is why we have chosen athletes within the Freestyle community to compete in the series that are well known and respected.

Acrobatic skills that seem dangerous or inconsistent and not ready for competition will not be allowed.  All athletes are encouraged to only showcase skills they are confident in and ask for help if need be.  Our judges understand what is a true demonstration of skill and what is simply “chucking it.”

Performing skills with precision and ‘uniqueness’ will earn you extra points.

2 Trick Combo Freestyle Frenzy Supertramp Battle:

  • Athletes will be put into groups of 4 in the preliminary round to battle it out, top 2 move on;

  • In the quarter finals onwards, athletes will go head to head, put into groups of 2, to demonstrate their best 2 - 3 skill combination.

  • Athletes will not be allowed to double bounce, however, tower bounce will be permitted if available.

  • Scoring will be based on 1. Creativity (33%)  2. Degree of Difficulty (33%) 3. Execution or Control (33%), a maximum of 10.0 per element for an overall score out of 30.0.

  • Each judge will score a separate element.

  • We will also have a fourth judge giving an overall impression score out of 5.0. Ties will be broken.

  • A ‘spotter’ will be positioned beside the trampoline to throw a mat if necessary.

  • Athletes can have two attempts to land their trick and must inform the judges of their skill, however, judges may request a ‘set’ to see if the skill could be safely attempted, but this will not be included in their 2 attempts.

  • Tricks that are deemed dangerous by the judges, or Host Greg Roe, will not be allowed. The athlete will be asked to choose another skill or be eliminated.

  • Judges decisions are final.

  • Athletes who do not comply with the rules or listen to the judges will be removed from the competition.

  • A third round may occur at the host’s discretion or to break ties between close contenders.

  • The top four (4) contestants will move on to the Finals and compete for a top 3 prize!

  • There will be two (2) WILDCARD spots chosen, one by the competitors and one by the judges , for the athletes who may not have made finals but exhibited outstanding creativity and support for their fellow competitors.
