The show will feature a mix of freestyle and traditional trampoline athletes, highlighting both the crossover potential and growing appeal of the discipline. Participating athletes include local Portuguese athlete Gonçalo Mano, along with Milco Abrahams and Luuk Swinkels from the Netherlands, and Frank Clark of the United Kingdom, all traditional trampoline athletes now participating in freestyle.

Tonight’s event is proudly supported by Happy Hideouts, whose involvement reflects a shared commitment to making trampoline sport more visible, accessible, and exciting for the next generation of athletes and families.

“At Happy Hideouts, we’re passionate about helping make high-quality trampoline and outdoor play equipment more accessible to families and aspiring athletes across the UK,” said Warren Newbery, Founder of Happy Hideouts. “Supporting an event like this is exciting because it introduces more people to the energy, creativity, and community of freestyle trampoline, while strengthening the connection between elite performance and at-home training. We’re proud to be working alongside ACON, the Freestyle Trampoline Association, European Gymnastics, and Eurotramp on such a landmark moment for the sport.”

The event is also supported by ACON, whose ongoing partnership with the FTA continues to help introduce more athletes and families to freestyle trampoline across Europe and beyond. As part of that collaboration, the ACON Action Zone will also be brought to Portugal for the 2026 Freestyle Trampoline World Championships in Portugal this August, creating an interactive space where fans and families can experience the sport firsthand.

The FTA is also proud to work alongside Eurotramp, the official trampoline supplier for the Freestyle Trampoline World Championships and the trusted supplier for European trampoline World Cups and Championships. In a break from FTA tradition, tonight’s show will be held on Eurotramp’s classic 7 x 14 ft Olympic trampoline rather than the FTA’s usual 5 x 5 metre freestyle trampoline. The format offers a unique opportunity to show the traditional side of the trampoline community what freestyle athletes can do, while also showcasing the creativity, control, and excitement of freestyle trampoline in a broader competitive setting.

“This is a very exciting moment for freestyle trampoline,” said Trish McGeer, Co-Founder and President of the Freestyle Trampoline Association. “To present our first freestyle show at the European Trampoline World Cup in Portugal is a major step forward for the sport. It gives us the chance to introduce freestyle trampoline to a wider audience and show what makes it so unique: creativity, individuality, progression, and pure energy.”

The Freestyle Trampoline Association continues to create opportunities for the sport to grow through world-class competitions, athlete development, and live showcases. Tonight’s appearance in Portugal reflects the organization’s commitment to bringing freestyle trampoline to larger international platforms and expanding its reach across Europe and beyond.

What is the Freestyle Trampoline Association (FTA)?

Founded by Greg Roe and Trish McGeer, the FTA was created to give freestyle trampoline its own professional platform and pathway for growth internationally. Greg Roe is a former Team Canada trampolinist, a world-renowned trampoline coach, innovator, and athlete mentor known for helping shape modern freestyle trampoline progression and athlete development. Trish McGeer is a sports marketing specialist and President of the FTA, leading the organization’s events, partnerships, global strategy, and brand growth.

Unlike traditional trampoline gymnastics, freestyle trampoline emphasizes creativity, individuality, and progression, blending technical difficulty with style, flow, and originality. Through competitions, athlete development programs, and live showcases, the FTA continues to help elevate the sport worldwide. With growing communities across Europe, North America, and Australia, freestyle trampoline is emerging as one of the most exciting new disciplines in modern sport.

What is Freestyle Trampoline?

Freestyle trampoline is a high-energy sport that pushes the limits of aerial movement. Unlike the classic competitive trampoline formats, with strict routine requirements, freestyle trampoline allows athletes to express their own creativity and style through advanced flips, twisting skills, and innovative combinations. Freestyle performances are defined by a mix of difficulty, execution, originality, and control, making the sport both technically impressive and highly entertaining for live audiences.
