About The Event

The FTA is proud to announce the official launch of our next competition series!! Last year we launched the #TrampChamp multi event series around the world from USA to New Zealand and everyone had so much fun we thought we should launch another series this season!

This year we bring you the first ever multi-event SuperTrampoline competition called FREESTYLE FRENZY. Athletes battle head to head in an elimination style competition with final 2 battling it out for the top prize. Most creative, sickest combos WIN!

Athletes must submit their video on Instagram with the hashtag: #FreestyleFrenzy for a chance to be chosen to compete. Anyone can attend the event to spectate with a regular jump pass, or purchase a 'weekend jump pass' for the event here to be allowed to spectate and participate in activities over the weekend. Once the 20 competitors have been chosen the names will be announced here and on GregRoeTrampoline on Instagram.

There will be qualifying events and top 4 of each qualifier gets an automatic admission the Championships at CrossJumps in The Netherlands in early 2019.

Each event will take place over the weekend, so athletes and fans can either watch or compete or join our Freestyle training sessions to learn new tricks, watch an amazing competition and have a chance to win lots of great giveaways!

What is the Freestyle Frenzy?

The Freestyle Frenzy Supertramp Battle Series is a multi event series with currently 3 different locations across Europe. Each location will be a weekend long event with lots to do. There will be a local fun meet up on the Friday night where flippers can come hangout with their friends. Then on the Saturday the Big Competition will be during the day and all flippers can jump together before and afterwards. On the Sunday, flippers can train together and practice with each other for the next Freestyle competition. 20 athletes will get to compete head to head in a multi round elimination event for a chance to go to the Freestyle Frenzy Championships in the Netherlands. During a round, one of the athletes will throw their favourite combo followed by the other athlete. Each athlete will get 2 chances to throw their best combos and the judges will pick a winner or the round and they will move on to the next round.

Athletes can attend more then one competition but only qualify for the finals once; so if you have already won you can't win again at one of the host qualifier locations.

Format: Each qualifier will allow up to 20 athletes to compete for a chance to win a finalist spot at the Championships in the Netherlands. Athletes must send in a video to GRT or the FTA and have their video approved before registering. Dangerous jumping will not be permitted and only athletes who are deemed to take safety seriously will be allowed to compete.

If accepted for the competition out of the 20 athletes for that location, the athlete will get a message from GRT and will gather information from that athlete and send them a registration package through the FTA. All areas of the document must be signed by the athlete and if under 18, the parent or guardian as well. Only athletes that are 14 and over are eligible to compete if accepted by GRT through the #GRTFreestyleFrenzy hashtag. In special circumstances, GRT and only GRT can authorize an underage competitor. All accepted athletes must register through the FTA before the competition weekend.

Locations: We picked a Northern European location in Finland, a mid location in Germany and a southern location in Slovenia; along with a central location in Netherlands for the Championships. Each location is meant to be for athletes living in that region of Europe so everyone can have a chance to qualify even if you are not close to the other locations spread across Europe. Each event is like a weekend get away where the family can come tour around, the athletes can bounce together and make memories and amazing athleticism can be highlighted. The pricing of registration is based on a weekend package compared to only a few hour event. If you are coming from a long distance it makes sense to make it a weekend trip to get the most out of it. The FTA will provide information about discounted hotel rooms for each location. Parents and guardians are responsible for their child's behaviour, accommodations, travel and all other logistics to attend the event. The FTA is solely responsible for the organization of the event.

Rules: There will be 20 athletes all battling head to head on one giant 5 meter x 5 meter Supertramp with 3 judges. Each athlete will have 30 seconds to complete a combo of their choice. Each combo must have at least 2 tricks. Each athlete will have 2 chances to land their combo. Each athlete will compete 2 different combo's and the judges favourite based on the following criteria will be accepted in the next round.

Judging Criteria:

1) Difficulty: This competition is the world's largest Super Tramp competition for a reason, the judges want to see awesome high flying tricks! Twists and rotations will be marked evenly and each athlete should have both flips and twists to score higher.

2) Creativity: This is what makes "Freestyle" unique to traditional and the judges want to see what makes YOU unique compared to the other competitors. If you have unique signature moves, cool fun positions and overall different combos you will get great Creativity scores.

3) Control: In order to avoid any injuries, judges who see dangerous combos being thrown with no preparation or control in the middle of the SuperTramp will be asked to stop or score a zero factor for that lack of execution in the overall score.

These 3 criteria are given an overall score out of 10 and the judges add up the scores determining the winner of that round.

Winners: If you place top 4 overall you get an automatic admission to the Championships in Netherlands at CrossJumps Trampoline Park. Expenses will not be covered unless GRT or the FTA specifically tells you. The top three winners of each location will get prizes. Each locations prizes are subject to change. Athletes may attend more then one qualifier but can only qualify once so their spot will be given to the next athlete for a chance to go to Netherlands.

Winners will all be accepted to Netherlands but if they are unable to go, they can transfer their ticket to another competitor who placed in the top 10 from one of the qualifiers. The Championships will be a multi elimination round like the qualifiers but with a cash prize of $1,500! Secondary and tertiary prizes of $500 will be given to 2nd and 3rd place overall winners along with other prizes.

Remember parents and athletes, we are here to help give these athletes a platform for their sport that goes mostly unrecognized. Each weekend event is a chance for athletes to bond and learn from each other and see the different parts of the world. Let's keep it fun and safe more then anything else.

See you there!!
