T.R.A.M.P CHAMP SERIES

The Freestyle Trampoline Association has partnered with trampoline parks around the world to bring the T.R.A.M.P CHAMP Series to the massive amount of #gtramp flippers who enjoy competitions.

The main focus of this Series is to offer a few select “golden tickets” for young athletes to attend the GTGamesUS, GTGamesEU or GTGamesANZ awarded to the winner of each event. Crowned the ‘TRAMP CHAMP’ we award them an automatic entry to the GTGames, the pinnacle competition event of the freestyle community.  Therefore, we only have locations targeted for the Series in each region Europe, US and Australasia. These Games are the pinnacle of flipping competitions worldwide and the trampoline parks are the perfect feeder system to what is considered the best of the best showcase. These events are part of the Freestyle Trampoline Association, in partnership with GRT Network Inc.\

While we organize and promote fun competitions for the Freestyle community we are also trying to encourage safer practices and awareness for safety for the young athletes who often flip unattended in their backyards. This is a feeder system for younger athletes who wish to start their competitive career in a fun and casual way.  There are three categoreis, based on skill level; Beginner, Junior & Senior. Each category will have a limitation on how many rotations will be allowed.

GAME of T.R.A.M.P

  • Athletes will be put into groups of 4 - 6 and assigned to a trampoline with a judge.

  • A set time limit will be enforced to keep on schedule. To be determined at the event.

  • Athletes try to one-up each other in a friendly game of “who can match the trick.”

  • Each time an athlete is unable to land the skill they receive a letter.

  • Athletes must call ‘landed’ or ‘not landed’ prior to the new set skill and as well as positions, number of bounces allowed etc. Skills deemed not landed means the athlete can land on their knees or back/rear-end. Hands touching the trampoline DO NOT count as landed.

  • Each athlete will take a turn to set the next round to ensure all athletes have a chance to set. The judge at your trampoline will keep everyone on track as well as record letters of all athletes.

  • Combinations of no more than 4 skills will be allowed unless agreed upon by entire group on that trampoline.

  • Athletes must call ‘landed’ or ‘not landed’ prior to the new set skill and as well as positions, number of bounces allowed etc.

  • Skills deemed not landed means the athlete can land on their knees or back/rear-end but hands touching the trampoline DO NOT count as landed. Judges will be assigned to a trampoline to keep the Game on schedule and record completed skills or assign letters.

  • Double Bouncing will NOT be allowed.

  • Athletes who have the least number of letters when the time is up will be declared the winner by the judge assigned to their trampoline.

  • The last athlete remaining from each trampoline who has accumulated the least amount of letters moves onto the Finals and competes for a top 3 finish in Junior or Senior.

  • The winners in Junior & Senior will receive an Golden Ticket (entry to the GTGames) for that year in the continent where the event is held.

GTGamesEU Group

GTGames

THE GTGames is a 3 event global garden trampoline series started in 2017 by GRT to showcase the best #gtramp athletes from North America, Europe and Australasia. Each year, the FTA looks at online Instagram submissions using the GTGames hashtag to choose the best athletes.

The GTGames are not focused on analytical judging, but more as an overall impression, based on:

  1. Difficulty - How many flips and twists the athlete accomplishes.

  2. Execution - The level of accuracy and precision the athlete is able to maintain during the skills. Is it safe and controlled?

  3. Creativity - How unique are the athletes tricks compared to other athletes? Includes unique positions in the air and unique combinations.

Submission Rules

  • Entries must use the official hashtag #GTGames____ and post a video on Instagram.

  • Tag @FTAWorldChampionships & the event title sponsor of the year.

  • Enter your submission on the FTA website GTGames page for the event you wish to enter.

  • Athletes must show both forward and backward rotations, flipping & twisting, different landings.

  • Athletes must exhibit good control in the air.

  • Athletes must demonstrate clean landings - no necking.

  • Only 25 juniors and 50 seniors will be invited to compete.

  • Athletes must be 11 - 14 years of age for the junior category and 15 - 21 for seniors on the date of the event.

  • TRAMP Champ winners receive an automatic entry to GTGamesEU, but this does not include travel or accommodations.

Community Guidelines

Athletes should be supportive of each other no matter what the competition outcome is. Although there is always a bit of controversy as to judging and scoring subjective movements, our judges have taken an oath to use their best discretion in an open and fair system and their acrobatic background to judge based on overall creativity, control/execution and degree of difficulty. This is why we have chosen judges within the freestyle and traditional communities that are well known for their integrity and knowledge.

Acrobatic skills that seem dangerous or inconsistent and not ready for competition will not be allowed.

All athletes are encouraged to only showcase skills they are confident in and ask for help if need be. With many years of experience our judges understand what is a true demonstration of skill and what is simply “chucking it.” Judges have the right to stop athletes from performing skills that are deemed dangerous.  .

Freestyle Frenzy

SUPERTRAMP BATTLE SERIES

The following is a breakdown of the “competition” system of the Freestyle Frenzy Series  presented by the FTA.

Athletes must submit a video with the hashtag #FreestyleFrenzy in order to be eligible to compete. The judges will select 16 athletes for each qualifying event from the submissions. Athletes must be at least 16 years of age to compete.

Athletes must perform a combination of minimum of two (2), maximum of five (5) skills in a combination, without an extra bounce between each skill. If an athlete does more than five skills, they will not be eliminated, but they will not be scored on any skills shown after the fifth.

  • Each combination should show a variety of both flipping and twisting and at least 2 different landing positions. Athletes who show only one or two different landing positions will score lower than someone showing all three (feet, back, stomach).  Skills landed on an athlete’s side will count as a back landing.

  • There will be 3 rounds. All 16 athlete in Round 1, top 8 in Round 2 and top 4 in Round 3.  In each round, athletes will have two attempts to perform their combination with a maximum one (1) minute rest between each attempt. Judges will score the best attempt (combination) only. If the athlete is not ready to go after a one minute rest period they will be asked to wait until the end of the round.

  • Athletes may not repeat the same combination in subsequent rounds, but can repeat the same combo in their second attempt of one round.

  • Athletes may repeat the same skills from a subsequent round, but NOT in the same order. This would make the combination different.

  • In subsequent rounds, scores will be reset and not carried over from previous rounds. This allows all athletes to have a good chance of moving up in the rankings in subsequent rounds.

  • The Head Judge has the final say in all scoring matters and any disputes. If an athlete feels he/her were scored incorrectly, they may launch an official inquiry in writing to the Head Judge within no more than ten (10) minutes following the posting of their score. The Head Judge will review all scores with the judging panel and issue either a verbal or written explanation to the athlete, but also has the authority to change the score if deemed necessary, prior to the final round, or prior to the prize giving.

  • Scoring will not be live, but will be shown for each group at the end of the Round, or in the case of the Finals, during  the awards presentation.

Athletes should be supportive of each other no matter the competition outcome is. Although there is always a bit of controversy to judging and scoring subjective movements, our judges have taken an oath to use their best discretion in an open and fair system and their acrobatic background to judge based on overall creativity, control and degree of difficulty.

Acrobatic skills that seem dangerous or inconsistent and not ready for competition will not be allowed.

All athletes are encouraged to only showcase skills they are confident in and ask for help if need be.  Our judges understand what is a true demonstration of skill and what is simply “chucking it.”

FTA World Championships

World Championships

Qualifier Series

Here is an overview of the FTA scoring system for Freestyle Trampoline World Championships Qualifiers. Athletes should be able to show control (Execution), while performing high-level skills (Difficulty) and will also be rewarded for new and interesting variations (Creativity).

  • Athletes perform a 5 skill combo for a panel of 3 judges.  Each combo is scored based on three (3) different aspects each scored out of a total of ten (10) points, for a total maximum score of 30 points.

  • Scoring will be based on Difficulty, Execution and Creativity with one judge scoring each element.

    • Difficulty - Total amount of skills in combo, Total degrees of rotation, total degrees of twist, changing the direction of rotation within the combo, changing the direction of twist of skills within the combo, variation of body landings used, difficulty of sequence of skills.

    • Control/Execution - How controlled and purposeful was the Combo during pre-bounce, in flight and on landings. Was there excessive travelling in the trampoline bed, did they show control in the air and consistency of height.

    • Creativity - How unique was that athlete’s combo compared to the others, were there different positions and grabs used during the combo, did the athlete show a unique style and a sense of creativity in choosing the types of skills, the transitions between each skill and the landing positions used.

    • I

    • In subsequent rounds, scores will be reset and not carried over from previous rounds. This allows all athletes to have a good chance of moving up in the rankings in subsequent rounds. Ties will not be broken.

    •
